Christina Scurr - Artist
At the Manse Studio in the heart of the Brecon Beacons Christina has become well know not only for her bespoke Picture Framing business, but also for her contemporary Celtic paintings.
Drawing her inspiration from ancient illuminated manuscripts and texts new Celtic forms are painstakingly painted with richly coloured calligraphy or acrylic inks in a watercolour method, giving tremendous luminosity and depth to the designs which evolve based on traditional forms, continuing the age old tradition of design synthesis into the modern age.
